Commodity beef is a huge term with an enormous amount of information, organized within the category. Many would deem it a catch-all term that reflects the entire bulk of the industry’s production, though individual segments of the beef industry might have its own definition of the term. Commodity beef, as the term implies, would have little in the way of individual characteristics or history and would likely be deemed that total mass of beef produced–named and unnamed.
