The Clean Water Act (CWA) WOTUS Definition offers an overly- broad interpretation of Supreme Court Justice Anthony Kennedy’s “significant nexus” test for determining regulatory jurisdiction over wetlands. The proposal expands this test in a way that would allow the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the Army Corps of Engineers (Corps) jurisdiction over all types of waters.

Missouri cattle producers will vote on state checkoff fee

Missouri cattle producers will vote next spring on a $1 state checkoff to raise money to promote Missouri beef. Missouri Director of Agriculture Richard Fordyce Wednesday approved the petition to conduct a referendum of Missouri cattle producers to establish a $1 per head state beef checkoff assessment. Cattle producers will now vote for or against the establishment of the state checkoff.
