USDA may change animal traceability regs

As part of the country’s Animal Disease Traceability efforts, the UDSA’s Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service recently released a proposal to amend certain regulations for facilities that receive livestock moved via interstate commerce. It also proposed several amendments to the conditions under which livestock may move to such facilities without proper identification documentation.
