Other sources of protein include corn gluten meal, distiller’s grains (wet and dry), brewer’s grains (wet and dry), blood meal, feather meal and fishmeal. These sources are not as well broken down in the rumen and are considered higher in by-pass or un-degraded protein and will therefore do not provide protein components to the microbial population as effectively.
