With an "illustrious auctioneering career spanning 57 years and 42 states," Isaac Henry Hamilton, given the honorary title of Colonel Ike by the auction world, ranked among the top auctioneers in the nation (New Hall of Fame). A native and lifetime resident of West Monroe, Louisiana, Hamilton was born July 9, 1911 and died May 1, 1997.
