Oral fluid therapy is the single most important treatment for calves with simple diarrhea. “Simple” means that the calf is losing excessive amounts of fluids and certain electrolytes from the intestine; there is not a destructive disease outside of the intestine. Therefore,”simple” means there are no complications.

XL Four Star Beef Inc. to close plants in Idaho and Calgary

XL Four Star Beef Inc. said Friday that it will close its Nampa, Idaho, beef processing plant at the beginning of June. The plant employs more than 500 people, reports the Idaho Statesman. The plant is also closing its operating in Calgary, laying off more than 500 workers there as well.
