Brother Jacob Deiss hasn`t had to drive through any spring blizzards or ice storms this year, to feed and take care the calves that are being produced by Assumption Abbey`s herd of cows.
"It`s been a lot better than it was last year," said Brother Jacob Deiss. "We have our share of losses but the calves have done really well getting up and nursing on their own."
Brother Jacob manages 170 head of cattle for Assumption Abbey, and puts in many long days during calving season.
